Austria. Tulips of Salzburg

Last spring’s days, and I would like to return by days when tulips and wisteria still blossomed and the first leaves just open. Before summer has come I once again wanna inhale unique sensation, which will return to me only in year later.

Thereto we shall train to Salzburg. Again we start our travel from Vienna. The travel takes about two and half hour. Here, in Salzburg is cooler than in Vienna and it becomes clear when you take a look at first photo with snow-covered mountain tops surrounding Salzburg. My catch the eye in this trip was sent on tulips which have already faded in Vienna but here I have still had opportunity to find magnificence blossom of tulips and wisteria. Wisteria, its gentle violet-blue pendulous racemes (just before the leaves open) decorated the walls of Mirabel garden and nothing prevented to admire their transparency on a background of the high spring sky.

Today I won’t tell anything about the city, we will return here in autumn. By the way, for the first time I had a trip to Salzburg on autumn and till now that impression is most bright. At this particular time it is possible to feel greatness of the mountains which have already became covered by snow, on a background of the dark sky and in my opinion, this picture even more goes with Salzburg and transfers greatness and monumentalize of surrounding landscape better.
But while all only begins– all comes to life.

Murano Glass in New Travel Collection from Green Diamond

Every time, when I travel to Venice, I admire with Murano glass. But at the same time I can very seldom find glass jewelry having a worthy setting. It always surprised me but eventually I’ve understood a reason: Venice is famous for its glass items but not as jeweler manufacturers and so we took beautiful Murano glass and created a new summer collection.
We utilized Sterling Silver, genuine leather, Gold Filled as material for chains, clasps and other decorative details in our new summer collection and as a result, we’ve achieved a new look at Murano glass.

Europe Day and Genussfestival in Vienna

Yesterday, on May 9 all over of EU celebrated Europe day. Also this day is known as Schuman Day when on May 9, 1950 was created a new form of organization called a supranational Community.
A lot of actions have arranged in Vienna this day including non official, but they are the most attractive for Viennese and visitors.
And as usually, the days between May 7 and May 9 (this year), became the festive days for gourmets and Austrian’s delicacies fans. I mean the “Wiener Genussfestival” in Stadpark. Cottage industries and top gastronomes (over150 participants) offered to taste Vienna ham, Carinthian honey, Vorarlberg cheese and more and more of best Austrian food.
Within 3 days visitors tasted, drank and communicate with pleasure in one of the prettiest Vienna parks. And the most attractive is that nobody forbids trampling down the lawns and we settled down for urban picnic and enjoyed fine spring day.

Labour Day, May 1 in Vienna

Labour Day is a national holiday in Austria. Austria has a strong labor movement and on May 1 many of Austrians celebrate this holiday with rallies, political parades and the festivities continue with concerts and traditional get-together in tents usually assembled for a time of holidays where we have a meal and drink some of bear.
You see one of such “oases” in photo and it’s situated in front of the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party or SPĂ– that govern the country and that is one of the oldest parties in Austria. It must be said, the official party’s color is red.
And really, all was full in red; even tulips on a bed were in brightly red color.
And also in these May days erect the Maypole. Couple of years ago I took part along with inhabitants of Baden in this holiday and also shall tell in next time about.
